The Children's Center, a non-profit agency, is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of young children, one family at a time. Our mission is to nurture and educate children and their families. We provide opportunities for education, parenting support and resources to families in our communities.

The Children's Center Head Start/Early Head Start is a federally funded program that provides no cost services to qualifying families who reside in the community. Comprehensive services are provided to pregnant women and their partners and children from birth to 5. Child development, health and family services are provided through a variety of program options designed to meet the needs of low-income and at risk families.

This position is responsible for conducting home visits to provide assistance to Early Head Start families, including pregnant moms and expectant dads.

Job Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
      • Minimum BS/BA in Early Childhood, Elementary Education; Or BS/BS in Human Services (or related field) with coursework and experience in the Early Childhood field.

      • Experience in the early childhood field is required.
      • Must have knowledge and experience in child development, principles of child health, safety and nutrition, adult learning principles and family dynamics
      • Must possess good organizational skills with sensitivity to details and confidentiality.
      • Must be able to effectively plan, organize and implement educational activities and be non-resistant to change.
      • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
      • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
      • Must have flexible schedule to accommodate family needs, may include some evening or weekend hours.
