This is a full-time position with full benefits, including 14 paid holidays and 13 vacation days.  The position will require some travel between our Centers.

 

The Children's Center, a non-profit agency, is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of young children, one family at a time. Comprehensive services are provided to pregnant women and their partners and children from birth to 5. This role is a split role to provide support to the ERSEA (Enrollment, Recruitment, Selection, Eligibility and Attendance) and HR (Human Resources) teams.

 


Job Qualifications:

Job Summary:
The ERSEA Coordinator will audit, analyze, and monitor ERSEA systems while developing and maintaining collaborations to ensure the agency maintain compliance as it relates to the Head Start Performance Standards. The ERSEA Coordinator will harmonize services with Family Advocates, Center Managers, and Content Managers to ensure full enrollment is maintained at all times. The position processes pre-enrollment applications, including eligibility determination, for the Early Head Start program. The position is responsible for managing all applications for eligibility, file monitoring, selection, attendance review, withdrawal. The position compiles and runs reports, surveys, and other program documentation.

The Human Resource Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes at all business locations. This role administers employee health and welfare plans and acts as liaison between employees and insurance providers. This position resolves benefits-related problems and ensures effective use of plans and positive employee relations. The Human Resource Coordinator makes that certain plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and that plan provisions are followed. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance, recruitment and HRIS entry.

Education/Experience:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with some college preferred
• Human Services and/or Human Resources experience preferred
• Three years administrative experience, preferred supporting multiple departments
• Expertise in business, administrative practices
• Computer literate; word processing, spreadsheets, and data entry
• Detail oriented; high level of accuracy
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Excellent people skills; ability to work cross culturally
• Organized; ability to manage several tasks simultaneously
• Flexible and enthusiastic; demonstrates initiative
• Head Start experience preferred
• ERSEA experience preferred
• Early childhood experience preferred

Certificates/Licenses & Registrations:
• Possess and maintain a current, valid Driver's License with good driving record
• Registration with the Child Care Division's Central Background Registry
• Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR certification
• Ability to obtain Food Handler certification
• Ability to successfully complete required state and federal background checks, including drug screen

Other Qualifications:
• Proficient in the use of computers and related information technologies
• Ability to work occasional evenings, early mornings, and weekends as necessary.
