The family advocate creates, provides, and coordinates services and activities with families and communities that foster strength, healthy living, advocacy skill development and overall well-being. They also provide support in a case management style and act as a liaison between families, staff, the community, and other family-related services
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION
The Family Services Manager assigns work in terms of general instructions. The supervisor spot-checks completed work for compliance with procedures, accuracy, and the nature and propriety of the final results.
Guidelines include Head Start performance standards, PFCE Framework requirements and Children's Center policies and procedures. These guidelines are generally clear and specific, but may require some interpretation in application.
