Job Responsibilities:

The Children's Center Head Start/Early Head Start is a federally funded program that provides no cost services to qualifying families who reside in the community. Comprehensive services are provided to pregnant women and their partners and children from birth to 5. Child development, health and family services are provided through a variety of program options designed to meet the needs of low-income and at risk families.


 This position is responsible for managing billing and quality assurance functions for the Early Intervention and Rehabilitation Program.


  • Processes new requests for therapy services
  • Prepares journal entries for grant spending and scholarships and daycare services.
  • Prepares charges for Part C payments to providers; prepares and reviews a variety of reports required for submission to the Part C Office; prepares for annual Part C reviews.
  • Supervises personnel in the processing of a variety of documents; ensures new referrals, charts, doctors' orders, health status indicators, authorizations and discharges are processed in a timely manner.
  • Supervises weekly therapy, monthly school therapy and service coordination processing and billing.
  • Supervises Medicaid eligibility verification processing.
  • Supervises the provision of customer services.
  • Files insurance claims.
  • Prepares and sends client statements.
  • Reviews billing reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Posts deposits collected; prepares bank deposits.
  • Reconciles bank statements.
  • Attends a variety of regular and special meetings.
  • Performs related duties.




Job Qualifications:
      • Part C billing experience preferred 
      • Electronic Health Records experience required 
      • Experience with Medicaid insurance including filing claims, billing and eligibility verification required
      • 2+ years supervisory experience required
      • Must be proficient in MS Outlook, Word and Excel
      •  Proficient utilizing Medisoft Network Professional and Medisoft Clinical 
      • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
      • Knowledge of insurance billing codes and principles
      • Knowledge of state Part C regulations
      • Knowledge of American Medical Association guidelines
