The Children's Center Head Start/Early Head Start is a federally funded program that provides no cost services to qualifying families who reside in the community. Comprehensive services are provided to pregnant women and their partners and children from birth to 5. Child development, health and family services are provided through a variety of program options designed to meet the needs of low-income and at risk families.
This position rotates between several departments (e.g., EHS teaching program, Custodial) and acts as a temporary substitute while a permanent employee is unable to perform their regularly assigned duties. The position supports the respective functions and tasks of that department according to established procedures.This position will give you the opportunity to work at all Suffolk Centers (Suffolk Children's Center, Suffolk Head Start Center and Pruden Early Head Start Center) and Smithfield Centers (Smithfield Head Start and Smithfield Early Head Start).
